This is the kind of outfit I usually wear in NYC, the most important thing is being “comfortable”, but without forgetting to put together trends, colors and textures, as this green outfit. I have to confess I miss wearing heels everyday; unfortunately, wearing them during day is mostly a huge mistake if you live in Manhattan, there is always any unexpected activity that ended up killing your feet.
Conclusion: Wear heels when it is absolutely necessary to complete the look

Este es el tipo de outfit que llevo en mi día a día, donde lo más importante es “Comodidad”, pero claro si descuidar la composición de tendencias, colores y texturas, donde reuní a todos los verdes. Como saben NYC, es una ciudad donde se camina demasiado y honestamente llevar tacos durante el día es casi siempre un desacierto, las pocas veces que saque a pasear a alguno de mis engreídos de taco casi muero del dolor, ahora solo me conformo con verlos en el espejo  antes de salir y volver a los flats en el momento de la partida, pues la mayor parte del tiempo no tienes idea cuanto caminaras… El día que usé este look caminé varias horas desde West Village, Bleecker St, Washington Square Park y terminó en Soho.
Conclusión: solo usa los altos en caso de necesidad extrema.

After seeing the title perhaps some of you are thinking, “oh no! Another blogger addicted to Instagram” I’m sorry, I have always kept my best memories on pictures that barely shared on social network until I tried Instagram. Now I just can say… LOVE IT! and I can’t stop to shoot and share everything I see in NYC… stores, museums, art pieces, people, street style, places, desserts, books, restaurants and more. Just follow me as @aventurachic and that’s it!

Me imagino que al ver el titulo del post estarán pensando “otra blogger con el mismo rollo” jajajaja lo siento, pero siempre he sido demasiado visual, tomando fotos de todo lo que pasa frente a mis ojos, pero muchas de esas imágenes no llegaron mas allá de mi archivo personal. Pues como se habrán dado cuenta no soy tan devota a las otra redes sociales, pero el Instagram me mató, lo empecé a usar gracias al pedido de una lectora y desde hace unas semanas se ha convertido en el reproductor de todo lo que pasa en mi día a día en NYC. Nada, si les provoca saber que pasa en esta loca ciudad denle una miradita a @aventurachic en Instagram y verán de todo un poco… lugares que visito, libros, museos, galerías, street style, tiendas y toda imagen que me sirva de inspiración.

Finally, I can show you one of the projects I’ve been working on lately. I have to admit it was very hard, beginning from cero and setting up a shoot team in NYC with millions of people working in Fashion and beauty industry. But, I DID IT! And I am completely satisfied with the results. I got a super team full of talented people. I can’t still believe it, but I ended up with a full production team with truck van included, so we could move from location to location with the whole team. . It was by far the most exciting Chic Adventure!.

Finalmente puedo mostrarles uno de los proyectos en los que he estado trabajando últimamente, debo admitir que fue muy difícil reunir todo el equipo necesario para hacer un Editorial de Moda, siendo nueva en NYC  donde la industria de la moda es tan grande. Pero lo logré, y quedé más que satisfecha, conseguí un súper equipo formado por personas muy talentosas de diferentes partes del planeta. Aún no sé como pero empecé pensando en un equipo básico y terminé con un equipo de producción completísimo que hasta tuvimos una camioneta van que nos permitió cargar con todo de locación en locación. Realmente la Aventura Chic más emocionante que he tenido!

Most of you might be thinking that my lack of posting has been for laziness. Wrong thought, I have been very busy with some projects I’ll show you soon. However, it was indirectly beneficial to the blog, because I was lead to spend so much time in stores, looking for hottest trends, buying stuff, castings ands shootings. As you imagine I really enjoyed that time, it was so exciting new experiences, new people and a lot of learning. But, the worst part was that I ended up buying a lot of stuff and whishing more and more…  Here the first part

Imagino que la mayoría de ustedes esa pensando que mi falta de post ha sido por flojera. Totalmente equivocado, he estado bastante ocupada con algunos proyectos que les mostraré pronto, lo bueno de eso es que indirectamente ha sido productivo paral blog, pues me vi “forzada” a pasar mucho tiempo en tiendas, haciendo resarch de tendencias, comprando para Stylings, castings, sesiones de fotos. Como se imaginarán yo feliz, nuevas experiencias, gente maravillosa y mucho aprendizaje.
Pero claro como no todo podía ser bueno tanto research en tiendas termino empujándome a  adquirir algunas piezas y deseando muchas más. Aquí un adelanto de algunas de mis nuevas adquisiciones…

I know, I disappeared again…. I m really sorry but these last weeks have been too complicated and the blog ended up paying consecuentes. This oufit is the last one I shot in Perú, coincidently it is one of my favorites ones to wear between seasons as these days, when weaher is getting warmer but not enough as wear few  layers.

Lo hice nuevamente, desapreci por muchos dias… Realmente lo siento, me da pena que el blog termine pagando las consecuencias de la falta de tiempo. Pero bueno, ahora vuelvo nuevamente cn más energía y miles de fotos nuevas para mostrar. Este Outfit es el último que tengo de mis sesiones en Perú (snif, snif) y sin darme cuenta caí en el color  patriota, puesto en un outfit que uso mucho en NYC en este cambio de estación, pues no es de abrigo extremo pero colabora con la causa.

Something I love of this season is that both hemispheres (north and south) can enjoy nice weather. Last days in NYC have been beautiful; everybody looks glad and enjoying outside activities. Obviously, I’ll take the advantage to take more million of pictures of my outfits and street style.

Algo que me encanta de esta época de transición de temporadas es que los hemisferios norte y sur unen sus temperaturas y nos permiten disfrutar del clima perfecto sin morir de frio o calor y unificar tendencias. No le parece lo máximo? Los días en NYC están hermosos y realmente motivadores, todos los locales están abriendo sus exteriores y la gente pasa más tiempo en las calles… Eso significa más fotos de street style y de mis nuevos looks.

As I told you before, I went to Catskill Mountains last weekend. The area is stunning with many activities to do and places to go such as lakes, falls, wineries and sky center. Unfortunately, I spent there less that 24 hours and most of the time was in the car going from place to place and we didn’t stop as much as I would like. Obviously, I took the advantage when we were in the wineries to ask to my travel partner for pictures of my outfit and look for nice views to show you. This is an very laidback and comfy outfit I wore this crazy day… perhaps you don’t know yet, but I am obsessed with neon colors. I’ll show you more neon soon!

Como les conté en el post anterior el fin de semana pasado hice un viaje rapidito a Catskills zona de montañas a un par de horas de NYC. El paisaje maravilloso, con lagunas, bosques, cataratas viñedos y hasta zona de sky que estaba cerrada. Como pueden ver muchas actividades por hacer, pero tuve muy poco tiempo, con decirles que no llegue ni a las 24 horas. Casi todo el tiempo lo pasamos en carro corriendo de un lugar a otro, así que entre paradas en los viñedos, aproveché del partner del viaje y me instalé entre el paisaje para  mostrarles un poco del lugar y mi outfit viajero de neón, el color que me tiene obsesionada ultimamente. Pronto les mostraré mis nuevas adquisiciones!

After a long weekend I begin the new week full of energy. Although, I didn’t plan anything special for these days I ended up in unexpected trip to Catskill Mountains; obviously, I’ll show you pictures in the next post.  I should admit that today’s pictures make me miss Easter in Peru, the one that smells to summer and full of beach activities. I wanna be at the beach right now!

Luego del fin de semana largo inicio la semana llena de energía, si bien pasé gran parte del finde en la ciudad salio un viaje rapidito a ultimo minuto y terminé en Catskill una zona de montañas hermosa cerca de NYC, obvio tengo fotos para mostrarles en mi próximo post. Debo admitir que las fotos de hoy me hacen extrañar la Semana Santa con olor a verano actividades playeras. Quiero playaaaaa!!!

Plastic shoes weren’t never as wished as this season, the Perpex shoes micro trend has been seen across the catwalks of SS12 with designers as Prada, Marc Jacobs, Christian Louboutin, Dolce & Gabanna, Philip Lim, Dries Van Noten. Obviously, low cost Brands turned the trend in to reachable to the average fashion lover.

Creo que los zapatos de plastico nunca han sido tan deseados como en esta micro tendencia, pués los catwalks SS2012 estuvieron llenos de zapatos con detalles transparentes y en algunos casos completamente transparentes, como cenicienta.
¿Qué diseñadores apostaron por esta tendecina?
Pues nada más y nada menos que Prada, Marc Jacobs, Christian Louboutin, Dolce & Gabanna, Philip Lim, Dries Van Noten. Obviamente las marcas lowcost como Zara, Topshop, Steve Madden, y Aldo no tardaron en hacelos alcanzables para los fashion lovers promedio.

If you realize I don’t usually mix so many trends in one outfit, but this time everything begun when I wanted to wear this skirt made by my seamstress, then it was almost by default, I just thought on complementary colors and these pieces came to my mind and voila! It was done!

Me imagino que estará pensando… “Dorado, lentejuelas, denim, tachitas y puas?  A esta chica se le ocurrió ponerse todo lo que encontró en el closet!” En realidad todo empezó porque quería hacer un outfit con esa falda recién llegada del taller de mi costurera, luego vinieron a mi esas piezas que se complementan por color y casi sin pensarlo ya lo tenía listo. Normalmente no junto tantas tendencias pero me encantó tomar el riesgo. Ustedes que tan lejos mezclando tendencias?
